Working with general supervision, the Benefits Clerk will assist the Benefits Team with benefit operations and clerical duties with benefits-related issues in a high call/contact-volume environment. Principal outcomes include heightened awareness of GameStop’s benefits programs and the delivery of first-rate customer service to GameStop associates. The Benefits Clerk will interact with his or her Team Lead and Sr. Benefits Associates several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Provide excellent customer service to associates contacting the GameStop Benefits department via the Benefits Call Center or through the Benefits email box, answering questions relating to all benefits programs.
Enter data into payroll system for life event change requests, manual enrollments and additional benefits data as needed; Accurate typing and data entry skills.
Process and track Medical Support Orders and Life Event Change requests.
Import/Export data communication between benefit vendors and GameStop HRIS system.
Gather, sort, and distribute Benefits paper mail and electronic mail both externally and internally.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field from an accredited program preferred
At least 1 years of benefits experience including health & welfare plans, paid time off and leaves of absence preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to interact with management, coworkers, store associates and external vendors; bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred .
Proficient knowledge of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel, Outlook, and Word
Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives
Ability to recognize discrepancies/errors in written/recorded data/information including the ability to initiate and respond to work errors in a professional manner, working collaboratively and cooperatively with others
Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest and ethical responsibilities.
