Five Star Senior Living, a premier provider of senior living services, is seeking a Benefits Coodinator to be based out of their corporate offices in Newton, MA. Responsiblities include but are not limited to:

Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency

Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes

Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations

Assure timeliness and accuracy of benefit transactions

Coordinate daily benefit processing

Enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, rollover, distributions and hardships

Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll deductions

Gather employee data and process monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for group plans.

Maintain Group Benefits databases. Prepare regular benefit reports as needed extracting data from the database. Provide the technical support, test system functionality and work with end users to provide system support and troubleshoot system problems.

Maintain online forms (Benefits enrollment, change form, etc.)

Perform plan audits

Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments

Customer Service, Communication, Training

Provide customer service support to internal and external customers

Development of communication to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package

Distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment

Create and conduct reports and presentations using tools, including PowerPoint and Excel

Provide training and support to field staff

Required Skills

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree and one plus years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience preferred

Excellent communication, analytical and organization skills

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. People Soft experience preferred

Familiarity with pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125
