The Benefits and HR Administrator will administer various HR programs, policies and procedures including benefits, compensation, HRMS, recognition & reward through the employee life cycle with the company. Administer company Leave of Absence and workers compensation programs to ensure consistency with policy and compliance with government regulations. First point of contact in answering employee questions on HR Programs, Policies and Procedures.
tab-stops: list0inleft 7.0in" 1. Leave of Absence. Reviews and evaluates U.S. employee requests for Leave of Absence for completeness and clarity of data. Reviews data to determine eligibility and certification is in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations. Interacts with employee, supervisor, MTS Payroll and insurance companies to provide a consistent flow of information for timely benefit payments, continuation of benefits and employee status changes. Provides all correspondence to affected parties to assure understanding of the leave process. Corresponds with legal counsel when needed. Acts as principal source of leave administration information to HR Generalists, Compensation, Benefits, and HRMS.
tab-stops: list0inleft 7.0in" 2. Workers’ Compensation. Administers workers’ compensation for North America locations. Responsible for filing claims, maintaining OSHA records, and preparing OSHA surveys. Handles all inquiries regarding the filing of claims with employee and explaining their legal rights. Interfaces with insurance company and supervisors to determine the compensability and appropriateness of the claim. Interacts with medical professionals as to progress of employee for return to work status. Assesses the information and when necessary will review possible available job positions with the HR Generalist within the company for a return to light duty. Interfaces directly with legal counsel, attends hearings and provides deposition when necessary and appropriate.

tab-stops0in0in7.0in" · Administers insurance, FSA, HSA and retirement eligibility for all North America employees. Reconciles vendor invoices for payment by researching accuracy of vendor records and computes premium. Interfaces directly with ESS vendor and retirement record keeper on eligibility reporting requiring a working knowledge of vendors’ databases and process flows. Performs quarterly audits.

Assists participants in making informed decisions by explaining options of MTS benefit plans particular to their situation, answering questions related to enrollment; handles all family change of status requests.
tab-stops0in0in7.0in" · Conducts new hire benefit orientation process and benefit exit interview sessions, including workforce reduction coordination. Processes any manual benefit election forms.
tab-stops0in0in7.0in" · Provides input on content for employee benefit communications requiring knowledge of data entry processes, benefit procedure, compliance, and plan design
tab-stops0in1.0in" · Provides benefit communication material to all U.S. locations to comply with ERISA, COBRA, and all North America locations to comply with contract requirements.

- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Five years administrative experience in positions requiring significant interpersonal skills, two years of which should be in a human resources function.
- Ability to determine priority of work necessary to meet required deadlines.
- Capable of independent decision making and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
