DESCRIPTION

Summary:
Responsible for supervising and administering operations for the Food Outlets and the Beverage Department. Assist in the coordination of new ideas in guest service, service training and product enhancement. Responsibilities also include mentoring, and evaluating staff, interviewing, and training employees; assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with department policies with guidance and support from the Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor. This person will also maintain Cashier responsibilities.

DUTIES

Duties:
  • Customer Service background with heavy customer interaction
  • Accepts orders, serves food and beverage to guests.
  • Orders supplies and food for outlet.
  • Conducts inventory as necessary.
  • Completes issue sheets, pass down logs and inventory logs on daily basis.
  • Assists Food & Beverage Manager as needed.
  • Calculates and presents check to guest.
  • Applies positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.
  • Formulates and administers special events, menus and promotions.
  • Develops annual goals and objectives.
  • Instructs in operation procedures, policies and guest relations.
  • Develops pricing and evaluates regularly to ensure guests' needs are met.
  • Ensures excellent quality product and service is delivered.
  • Responsible for food cost and pour cost control.
  • Maintains excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Soboba Casino standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervises employees in the Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to promote positive and professional image.
Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 2 years experience in food preparation and service preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience in a Supervisory capacity or above.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Work Environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There is exposure to second hand smoke.
