The Bid & Proposal Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales Operations Management. This position is responsible for driving the opportunity management process to generate best-in class bids, to increase sales efficiency and win rate. The Bid and Proposal Manager will create the critical systems for managing complex bids throughout the sales cycle from the decision for solution proposal creation to contracting. This position is the primary liaison across functions includes sales, delivery, product marketing, legal and finance to provide business process and sales operations support. In this position, you will facilitate all phases of the quote and proposal process, manage bid kick-offs including resource planning and allocation, escalate non-standard sales transactions for departmental review and approval, enforce company sales policies and procedures, review deal documentation to further the understanding of deal structures and develop a robust and repeatable deal process to scale with the company's needs. The Bid & Proposal Manager analyzes feedback from internal client groups regarding proposal responses (e.g. SCM evaluations, defense meetings) which push the sales and management teams' understanding of client/industry expectations.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent is required
• MBA is a plus

• At least 5 years of sales pro c ess and/or related experience in the software industry
• Bid and/or Proposal management experience is required; contract and/or project management experience are a plus

• Possesses excellent analytical skills to understand complex deal structures and business situations
• Has excellent communication skills as demonstrated by effectively summarizing and simplifying complex deal information and communicating that information to different groups across the company
