Workforce Boulder County has an opening for an enthusiastic and self-motivated, individual with exceptional organizational skills to work in both the Boulder and Longmont offices. The primary focus will be working with job seekers. This position will require a thorough knowledge of all of our programs and must possess the ability to work independently and effectively with job seeking customers.
Examples of Duties:
Interviewing job seekers to assess and identify job skills, employment history and educational background; matching applicants to the employers' needs; providing labor market information, program information and referrals; registering job seekers into the database (Connecting Colorado); providing appropriate job referrals; updating and maintaining records in the database; conducting follow-up with job seekers; assisting clients with navigating the state unemployment insurance benefits system by helping them apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits and understanding UI job search requirements; providing appropriate referrals to supportive services and workshops provided by WfBC and community agencies; facilitating group orientations and job search workshops; and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a social science, business, education or closely related field and two (2) years of experience in a related human services program.
Tha ability to read, write and speak in both English and Spanish fuently is required.
Good computer skills are essential. Must have the ability to learn new programs quickly and to utilize MS Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Primarily sedentary physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds; occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and members of the public.
