Reporting to the Associate Director Billing, the Billing Accountant is responsible for processing all financial items for selected clients; including client invoicing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, client reporting and audit support. The Billing Accountant will partner with both the Project Management (PM) and Client Service (CS) departments and must be able to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions
  • Monthly invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Managing client-related accounts payable
  • Partnering with Client Managers and Project Managers regarding client budgets and activity
  • Maintaining the company standard for Accounts Receivables including monitoring and following up with both internal associates and external clients
  • Maintaining client spreadsheets and producing client-related financial reports
  • Guiding PMs and CSs in best practices for billing process and billing execution
  • Partnering with the Project Management Leadership Team in developing related course materials and training for new associates
  • Maintaining necessary schedules and provision of information and documents for audit

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years billing experience for a service company
  • Proficient in MS Excel and have a strong working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
  • The ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Willingness to be flexible to accommodate business needs

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in accounting
  • Knowledge of OpenAir software

Travel Requirements
  • This position requires minimal travel
