PSC operates four financial shared service centers called "Hubs", where customer billing is performed for its Industrial Services Division. PSC uses a proprietary system that electronically collects completed service ticket information so that Billing Specialists in each Hub can attach pricing and generate customer bills using the same system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • For assigned workload, continuously monitor the billing system for completed service tickets ("billing input")
  • Verify that the billing input is actionable:
  • o If actionable, put service ticket on bill
  • o If not, follow escalation procedures to obtain complete and accurate billing input from service location.
  • Maintain repository of current quotes and other documents necessary to apply correct pricing and commercial commitments to bills, and to format bills according to customer requirements
  • Prepare supplementary schedules (Excel or Word) required to accompany bills
  • Monitor service ticket and bill volumes to ensure that billing is performed on a regular and timely basis
  • Report billing process bottlenecks to service locations
  • Prepare credit memos
  • Respond to e-mail or telephone billing inquiries from service locations, including copying documentation and summarizing data on spreadsheets
  • Maintain electronic and paper billing files
  • Assist Corporate Collections team in researching billing issues, including copying documentation and summarizing data on spreadsheets
  • Assist in creating and updating written desktop procedures and forms
  • Participate in meetings with service locations to assess opportunities for improving billing input, and to help train service location employees

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years billing experience with an automated billing system
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Proficient in English

  • Minimum data entry speed of 10,000 keystrokes per hour
  • Ability to 10-key
