Nationally recognized St. Luke’s Hospital & Health Network is currently recruiting for a Billing Representative. This position is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of accounts to be submitted to third-party carriers, intermediaries, and guarantors in accordance with hospital policy and billing requirements regulations and assisting in the management of accounts receivable while ensuring the maximization of the insurance payment. A Billing Representative will handle all inquires, process claims, ensures completeness and correctness of all claim information and, facilitates maximum reimbursement in a timely and efficient manner. This position includes analyzing, updating and correcting claims data according to established procedure and demonstrating thorough knowledge of third-party payers’ claims requirements, UB92 requirements by payer, computer capabilities as related to claims production, and admitting/medical records input as they affect claims. The Billing Representative will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal while handling phones, mail, and personal inquires from and regarding patient accounts, assist each person promptly, efficiently and courteously with thorough knowledge of ethical and legal billing procedures.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Continuously fingering and handling for data entry, typing, etc., and occasional twisting and turning. Uses upper extremities for occasional lifting and carrying of up to 10 lbs. Frequently stoops, bends, or reaches above shoulder level to retrieve files. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and telephone. Seeing as it relates to general vision. Visual monotony when reading reports and reviewing computer screens.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with third party billing in a hospital similar medical facility or physicians office is preferred. Direct experience is required, PC, Office Equipment, Typing, Clerical Experience.
Full time day hours as scheduled. Overtime as needed to meet deadlines of scheduling complement.
