JOB SUMMARY:
Billing Clerk assures all operative records are accounted for according to final or schedule; reconciles charges, verifies posted charges and operative records with charges billed to patient.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of standard office equipment.
On-the-job training in pay class procedures.
Typing knowledge and use of the computer.
Hospital experience preferable.
Ability to work in a stressful environment.
Competent to successfully interact with physicians, offices and staff according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served.
Certified or certification eligible surgical technician (CST),
or
Certified Registered Central Sterile Tech (CRCST) preferred.
