BS degree in biology, ecology, and/or environmental sciences, Masters preferred, and at least 2 plus years of environmental sampling, micro vibrates, toxicity, culturing, micro-biological culturing, PCR methodologies, testing for mercury.

Clear verbal and written communications skills are required.

Qualifications

Responsible for assessing the potential biological and/or ecological impacts of hazardous wastes; preparing written reviews of project reports, plans, and field investigations of impacted habitats; preparing reports and/or summaries of findings; maintaining equipment and supplies for field surveys and laboratory-based bioassays; and assisting in the preparation of standard operating procedures. The Senior Biologist performs biological site-assessments, biological field sampling, and biological toxicity testing in accordance with established procedures, and supervises and provides guidance to junior staff members in the performance of the above activities.

You must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain the necessary credentials to work at a government site.
