We have an immediate opportunity for a Biomedical Research Associate in the Billerica, MA area.

Responsibilities:
The Biomedical Research Associate will work in a medical device laboratory to build and test new implantable continuous glucose sensing device.

Responsibilities: This associate's responsibilities include:
: Hand assembly of biosensor prototypes in GLP/GMP environments

: Analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods;

: Execution of designed experiments and data analysis

: Effective documentation and communication of test plans and results Daily Activities:

: Participates in fast-paced development of new biosensors, specifically in the areas of prototype construction and characterization.

: Responsible for fabricating devices to defined performance specifications.

: Carries out analysis and performance evaluation of new medical devices to ensure that fundamentals are well understood, basic problems are solved, and that designs are sufficiently robust.

: Small volume prototyping and hand assembly.

: Operation of analytical testing ins

Qualifications:
: Ability to understand and perform complex procedures, and operate complex instrumentation required.

: Demonstrated attention to detail including ability to assemble very small components into working prototypes is required.

: Demonstrated expertise with data analysis and analytical methods such as fluorescence and/or UV-Vis spectroscopy.

: Experience in a medical, pharmaceutical laboratory environment preferred.

: Experience working with sterilized materials in aseptic environments preferred.

: Experience working with Class 3 medical devices is preferred

: Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

: The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group is critical. Education: BS in Biomedical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Bio-/Organic/Polymer Chemistry; MS or PhD preferred. Experience in related field would be considered
