Job Description
The Biosurgical Specialties Sales Representative will be responsible for selling Genzyme's
existing market leading
proprietary technology (Seprafilm™) from the Sepra™ product line.

Adhesion Barrier is indicated for the reduction of post-surgical adhesions in patients undergoing abdominal or pelvic laparotomy.
In addition, the Biosurgical Specialties Sales Representative will have a
new
product to offer (LeGoo™) and will be responsible for successfully promoting this product. The
new product launch
of ( LeGoo™) is targeted for Q4 2012. LeGoo™ is indicated for temporary endovascular occlusion of blood vessels below the neck up to 4mm in diameter.
The Biosurgical Sales Representative will be trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of our products in an operating room setting and will promote these products to targeted surgeons and health professionals, in order to maximize sales growth and increase market share. This position requires the ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology. Additionally, you will be expected to execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, compliant, ethical, and which leads the customer to action.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS (business or science) required and 5 plus years of a successful track record in specialty, pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital sales
Documented successful sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan - top 10 - 20% ranking preferred).
Ability to travel as necessary, depending on geography (potentially overnight and/or weekends)
Reside in local territory and have knowledge of the local market
Have a valid driver's license in one of the 50 states and clean driving record
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan and the ability to collaborate with other colleagues (peers, marketing, leadership, etc), and KOL's is required.
Be a self-starter with strong time management and planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in product sales to a highly educated/high profile customer base is strongly preferred.
Experience as a volunteer in external organizations (non profit, patient advocacy)
Field training experience
