Responsible for a variety of fingerprint duties, including the acquisition, classification, searching, comparison, identification and filing of fingerprints, either manually or via automated fingerprint identification systems; takes fingerprint impressions. Performs related duties as assigned including the following:

? Acquires essential demographic information to establish or update agency records and systems.

? Compares fingerprint data to determine positive identification of individuals.

? Validates information entered into databases; researches and corrects data entry errors to maintain system quality and integrity.

May be required to move up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 10 feet.

May be required to stand for extended periods of time, concentrating on highly detailed visual images.

High School Diploma or GED

Two years of experience working in an office setting

Understanding of Fingerprint classifications

U.S. Citizenship

  • Successful completion of both commercial and Federal background investigations are required prior to employment.
