Team BlackBerry U.S. currently has an opportunity available for a Promo Representative who will be responsible for managing BlackBerry’s presence at retail locations within their assigned territory. Although the primary focus will be on sales-related activities, the Promo Rep will also be tasked with doing product demos, driving demand, and helping with other launch event activities.
Details of Responsibilities
· Demonstrate the product benefits of BlackBerry to store associates and store management by utilizing demo devices, swag/collateral, partner software & other job tools
· Understand key BlackBerry marketing objectives and provide support for these objectives
· Utilize effective sales methodology to drive sales of BlackBerry products and their partners
· Coordinate and conduct store level demo days, assist with sales, demand generation activities, etc…
· Complete reports for each activity on a timely basis. Provide a thorough recap and document any identified issues
· Fulfill all internal training assignments by set deadlines. Keep informed on all new & existing products, services, and other industry information
· Represent BlackBerry and MarketStar in a professional business manner (dress, demeanor, communication, etc.) and to the highest standards of excellence
· Adhere to pre-determined segment budgets, policies and procedures.
· Execute program initiatives as directed

The ideal candidate is very enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor and an ability to learn a variety of techniques to capture mindshare and engage retail and end user customers.
Education/Certification
· College degree preferred
Experience Required
· At least one year of experience selling in the retail channel preferred
· Previous experience selling in the wireless or consumer electronics industry preferred
· Preference may be given to candidates who have previous experience selling smartphones
Knowledge/Skills
· Knowledge of the smartphone segment (BlackBerry preferred), or technical aptitude to learn it quickly
· Strong presentation and training skills
· Strong computer skills (e.g. MS Office)
· Must have reliable transportation and access to a computer for reporting purposes
· Must reside in a centrally-located area within the assigned territory
· Must be willing to work nights and weekends
Pay:
$16-18/Hour (DOE)
