Operate, maintain and repair assigned system in such a manner as to ensure optimal customer relations.
Responds in a professional, polite and helpful manner when dealing with customers.
Operates, maintains and performs maintenance of the central utility services equipment and systems, including:
Pumps, piping, valves
Hot Water Converters
Controls and Positioners
Fuel oil systems
Natural Gas Systems
Air Conditioning Units
Pneumatic Tube System
Thoroughly and accurately completes reactive and preventive maintenance paperwork.
Assists in emergencies as needed.
Properly identifies problems and reports to supervisor when appropriate.
Provides advance notice of equipment shut-down or start-up to affected areas.
Works according to the schedule as prepared by the supervisor.
Returns all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly and safe condition.
Learns, understands and complies with fire, safety, and other emergency practices. Informs supervisor of any condition observed to be unsafe.
Learns, understands and complies with all Company and customer policies.
Participates in training directed at job-related skills.
High school or technical school graduate.
Previous experience operating and maintaining central utility services equipment and systems.
Knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining central utility services equipment and systems.
Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used.
Ability to keep simple records of activities performed.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
