HIGH PRESSURE BOILER OPERATOR – Archer Daniels Midland - Fostoria, OH

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Requirements: 5 yrs operating preferred, OH high pressure boiler operator’s license required

Hrs per week: 40 hrs

Duration: Full time

Shift: Various (2 nd , 3 rd , swing shift, weekends and holidays)

We are looking for a high potential individual ready to take on challenges and responsibilities within our Boiler Department at the Fostoria, OH soy processing facility. The Boiler Operator position involves operational responsibility for the plant’s water treatment systems and two steam boilers. The plants steam and water systems are comprehensive and extensive which require a high level of understanding of the cause and effect relationships they have with the balance of plant operations. Therefore the aptitude and skills of the candidate must be commensurate with the requirements of the position.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Focus on safety, quality and integrity.
·
Shift operation (procedures) and equipment checks.
·
Water treatment lab tests.
·
Generate accurate documentation and log records.
·
Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on boiler and water equipment and auxiliaries.
·
Receiving and handling chemicals.
Qualifications
To be considered for the opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
·
Possess basic math and problem solving skills.
·
Be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, have good physical dexterity (i.e. bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, etc), working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc), and lift 50#.
·
With training, the applicant may be asked to operate rolling stock such as forklifts or skid steer loader.
·
Demonstrate initiative to work independently in an organized, safe manner while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed.
·
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
·
Good computer and mechanical skills a plus.
·
Exhibit a professional image and attitude at all times.
