Responsibilities may include:
Contributing to an environment where safety is a top priority

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and guidelines

Operating, calibrating and maintaining gas chromatographs

Building, operating, and maintaining laboratory testing equipment

Performing various water chemistry tests on produced water, boiler water systems, evaporative cooling systems, and potable water systems

Working with various chemicals and monitoring chemical injection systems to ensure accurate delivery of chemical treatment to different water systems

Evaluating data to identify trends and correct process conditions

Documenting experimental results in a laboratory database

Working both independently and collaboratively to accomplish objectives


Legally authorized to work in the United States

Valid driver's license

At least 3 years of relevant equivalent experience:
Able to ascend and descend three (3) flights of stairs

Able to work standing for a two (2) hour period

Able to lift a stationary weight of 20-lbs. from a floor to a bench level

Able to lift a stationary weight of 5-lbs. from bench level to a shelf 18-inches above bench level

Able to respond to sound and system fault light alarms

Able to pour solvents from a 4-L bottle into smaller containers

Able to manipulate high-pressure gas cylinders, use a cylinder cart, and attach a regulator to the cylinder using a wrench

Able to use a drum dolly or cart to manipulate drum-sized containers

Minimum of a two-year technical degree in a science or science-related field

Experience using basic laboratory and pilot scale equipment and techniques

Experience using gas chromatographs

Ability to manage a very diverse set of assignments

Proven ability to self-start and work alone, as well as work within a team setting

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience working with SAP processes

Ability to adjust quickly to unexpected conditions

Experience with process-oriented work objectives

Training or certifications in safety related courses/programs a plus

Familiar with use of hand and power tools

Basic math and computer skills

Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity

Ability to work without close supervision

Work well in a team environment (good written and oral communication skills)
