Eagle Realty Group has an immediate opportunity for a Bookkeeper.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Processes data in the MRI and Yardi property management systems for Company-owned and third-party real estate. Responsible for payment of vendor invoices on Eagle-managed properties. Handles the monthly tenant billing, prepares bank deposits and processes the collection of payments. Sets up, organizes and maintains files of invoices, tenant statements and bank deposits. Provides back-up and administrative support and assists with special projects. Works with some supervision and is responsible to make a minimal range of decisions, escalates to manager when appropriate and updates manager on a regular basis.
•Reviews approved vendor invoices and check requests for completeness and inputs data into MRI and Yardi accounts payable systems. Sends checks to appropriate parties by mail, Federal Express or interoffice delivery.
•Deposits checks for assigned properties and records the transactions in MRI and Yardi.
•Researches and resolves questions from vendors, tenants and Eagle associates regarding accounts payables and tenant information.
•Completes month-end closing procedures including closing all modules in MRI for assigned properties/entities.
•Maintains files for invoices, tenant information and bank deposits.
•Prepares journal entries in the general ledger as appropriate.
•Inputs and reviews various charges to tenants in MRI and Yardi and prints and sends out monthly statements for commercial properties.
•Prints financial reports for accountants and property managers as necessary.
•Provides back-up and administrative support and assists with special projects.
•Performs other duties as assigned by management.
•Proven working knowledge of mathematics and principles behind bookkeeping or accounting transactions.
•Demonstrated ability coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis with minimal direct supervision.
•Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
•Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner.
•High school diploma/GED.
Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:
•Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
•Demonstrated experience working with PC-based accounts payable program.
Certifications & licenses (i.e. Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):
•Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
