The Branch Member Service Representative at the Manassas Branch location is responsible for the delivery of exceptional service to members for a two billion dollar credit union. Member Service Representatives work directly with the members while processing transactions to include opening accounts, processing loans and other varied duties. They provide professional service to members, greeting and giving members information in person and over the telephone. They process account requests and provide answers and information to member’s requests. The MSR must be comfortable cross selling various credit union and NW Capital Management products and services while exceeding member expectations.
Requirements: Candidates must have a positive, energetic and outgoing personality, high level of dependability, able to multi-task, excellent verbal and written skills, demonstrated job stability, possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. This position requires a minimum of 2 years or more experience in a financial institution, or in a service industry profession.
Candidate must be able to work rotational Saturdays and extended hours Monday – Friday as needed to serve the members.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Branch Member Service Representatives report to Branch Managers and have no supervisory responsibilities.

Branch Member Service Representatives must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time and are required to hear and talk. They must be able to separate paperwork and stuff envelopes, type on keyboard or operate adding machine using hand/finger coordination. They must be able to walk to copier and occasionally assist with teller duties. In addition, they must answer telephones. They may be required to lift up to 50 pound coin bags. The employee may be required to operate coin machines and perform minor maintenance (release coin jams, replace tape or printer ribbon and clean hopper or coin rails). MSR’s may be required to assist members with carrying their safe deposit box and climbing stepladder to reach the box. They may also be required to travel to other branches upon request.
WORK ENVIRONMENT - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Branch Member Service Representatives work in a small area equipped with a telephone(s), PC, monitor, printer, and adding machine. They must also be able to run the copier, coin machine and the PIN-changing machine. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. They may be required to maintain and service Member Education Center.
