Location: Smoky Hill Library, 5430 S. Biscay Cir., Centennial, CO 80015. Ocassionally will work at Castlewood Library, 6739 S. Uinta St., Centennial, CO 80012 and Eloise May Library, 1471 S. Parker Rd., Denver, CO 80231 Starting Wage: $10.18 to $12.73 per hour, plus benefits. Hours: 40-hour, full-time position. Schedule to be determined. Role: Maintains library district facilities by performing non technical maintenance and repair. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 45% APPEARANCE Maintains building accessibility and appearance by removing trash, removing ice and snow from walkways and parking lot, dusting office furniture, equipment and public computer stations, cleaning up common areas and work rooms, spot cleaning the carpet, cleaning light fixtures and replacing lights in order to keep facilities accessible and attractive. 40% MAINTENANCE Performs routine maintenance work at library facilities by securing lighting and building access, painting, completing preventative maintenance schedules, cleaning and setting up meeting rooms, cleaning easel boards, returning chairs to proper positions, moving recycle bins to designated areas, and restocking and cleaning restrooms in order to keep building ready for use. Work closely with Branch Specialist to complete day-by-day operational Sys-AID work orders. 15% INSPECTION Maintains Library District facilities by inspecting the buildings and grounds, and reporting any structural damages in order for the proper maintenance of District facilities. Expectations: 1. CUSTOMER RELATIONS Outstanding and personalized customer relations. 2. APPEARANCE Facilities and grounds are attractive and accessible. 3. MAINTENANCE Effective maintenance and operation of Library District facilities. 4. INSPECTION Effective inspection and reporting of structural damages. Qualifications: Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience. Equivalent to high school degree, required. Knowledge of basic repair and construction tools, required. Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical repairs and maintenance, required. Knowledge of computer building operating systems, preferred. Skilled in using tools for basic repairs and construction, required. Ability to understand and/or read engineering/architectural/building plans, preferred. Ability to travel between facilities, required. Technology skills, including intermediate assessment scores for Internet Explorer, and Outlook, preferred. Able to stand and walk up to 75% of the shift, bend and stretch without limitation, kneel, and, reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted, regularly, and up to 60-70 pounds, assisted, occasionally.
