Required Skills

We are currently seeking a dynamic professional to fill our Branch Services Representative position. This role is responsible to perform all tasks associated with the credit union's IRA portfolio; share certificate products, foreign collection item processing, and provide back-up support for all tasks associated with eZforex foreign currency program. This position requires excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Some duties include but are not limited to: opening new IRA's, closing existing IRA accounts, posting deposits, processes distributions, ensures timely issuance of RMD notices and tax forms (1099R's and 5498's) by IRS deadlines; maintains IRA Mandatory Distribution information and processes issuance of RMD's as necessary. A variety of additional duties to include but are not limited to, share certificates, eZforex foreign currency program, processing credit life and disability claims, processing GAP claims and Extended Warranty cancellations, responding to third party account verification requests, overseeing our Power of Attorney, Custodian account, Capital Club account and Quikpost programs.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will be required to become a Certified IRA Professional by completing course designed by Acensus Retirement Services within two years of hire date and maintain certification on a regular basis.

One to two years of similar or related experience.

A high school education or GED.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with attention to grammar and composition

Ability to work accurately with numbers

Ability to work independently and regularly meet deadlines with minimum supervision

Ability to appropriately prioritize work in order received or in order of importance

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.

Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Good listening and telephone skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard; able to make decisions with minimum information.
