Creator of the nabi™ tablet, the world’s first tablet made just for kids, Fuhu provides an ecosystem of hardware, software services, and accessories to immerse kids in rich and engaging experiences. nabi ™ is available in all major U.S. retailers including Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, and As the Brand Manager, your primary role will be to develope PR and marketing strategies for the company.

The Brand Manager must have a firm grasp of consumer and technology PR and Marketing, especially working with media who cover these industries. Excellent communications skills and ability to think beyond traditional PR and Marketing strategies are key. Day-to-day duties include:

Media relations : Pitching news, reviews and trend stories; securing press briefings at various tradeshows throughout the year; maintain media lists, including identifying new media contacts

Writing : Generate compelling press materials delivering our key messages; Develop corporate band materials

Social media : Work closely with social media teams to align press and community communications

Awards program : Identify and pursue relevant industry awards for Fuhu’s products and services

Account management : Create briefing materials for executive interviews with press; maintain coverage portfolio; work with internal teams to create press assets

  • Assist in developing marketing and promotions strategies
  • Work closely with the business unit leads, creative and tech departments to execute marketing campaigns, ensuring the objectives and goals are being met
  • Manage the execution of the public relations programs including budget control, press releases and promotional activities
  • Interface and coordinate with the media
  • Work with teams to create and maintain business development marketing campaigns (touch points); ensure messaging and scheduling consistency; track success
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate online effectiveness and opportunities
  • Work closely with experienced members of the marketing department on advertising, co-promotions, consumer research, marketing asset generation and management
  • Branding / messaging – standardized templates for proposals, internal/external documents, other personnel or company profiles
  • Minimum of 5 years of PR experience, agency or in-house
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related areas of study
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines and goals
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and be proactive, as well as work effectively in a team and across different departments
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
