Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the world's leading planning, engineering, and program and construction management organizations, has an immediate opening for a Lead Bridge Engineer in our Baltimore, MD office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience in bridge design and inspection, and have strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Project management and marketing experience is required.
The Lead Bridge Engineer will provide designs and manage projects for local, state and federal clients. This individual will lead technical efforts, manage a group of structural engineers, and will have direct client contact to coordinate technical work.
The individual should be hands-on in bridge design work, have CADD experience, work independently as well as manage the tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong computer analysis capabilities including finite element modeling. Must be able to provide technical guidance, oversight, and quality reviews, and meet the following requirements:
• Professional Engineer’s (PE) license in MD, or ability to obtain within one year
• Strong technical skills in bridge design
• Familiarity with MD SHA bridge design requirements and standards
• Master’s degree with a structural engineering emphasis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good client relationships, with experience in marketing and business development
• Must be able to immediately work in the United States
