Position: Broadband Site Solutions Engineer

Scope of Work:

Perform work that crosses the boundaries between MetorPCS, engineering and project management, leading the technical workers who contribute to the design and/or delivery of products and solutions. Typical responsibilities may include: daily operations of field work activities and organization of SPs and ASPs; coordination of the implementation of a project, ensuring it is being built correctly; project schedules and forecasts; submitting regular project status reports; budget monitoring and trend tracking; effective communications between engineering, technical, construction, and project controls groups; and assistance to the project manager.Provide solutions for a variety of problems that occur with customer hardware and/or software. When customers have a task that they want to accomplish and their network technology is not sufficient, come up with solutions that meet that customer’s needs/requirements and are sold to the customer. Work as a part of a team, designing and implementing the solutions for customers. Meet with customers and present the network technology offered by the company that the solutions engineer works for. Create and conduct training programs for customers, SPs and ASPs.Apply the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. This requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis. Have an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.Introduce modified, improved, and/or advanced technology to potential users who may have an application but who have not yet acquired knowledge of the material or technique in question, interpret drawings for Customers and SPs/ASPs, red line drawings, and review engineering deliverables.
