[Primary Function]

serves as liaison between contract growers and the organization

[Responsibilities and Tasks]

Advises growers regarding best practices, policies, procedures, bio-security, laws, etc.
Provides chick placement times, catch times, and feed withdrawal times.
Prepares flock completion report
Evaluates grower performance
Provides technical assistance to growers
Prepares visitation report during weekly visits
Instructs growers
Provides weight and head count estimates
Coordinates feed deliveries
Obtains blood and fat samples for laboratory analysis

[Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience]

Strong communications skills both oral and written
Basic computer skills
Current drivers license and satisfactory driving record
General kowledge of poultry science
Ability to work without direct supervision
Basic match;addition; subtraction, division, and ratios
Ability to work in outdoor environment
Ability and willingness to work non-routine hours including nights and weekends as necessary
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stoop, squat, stand, and climb ladder/stairs regularly

[Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience]

Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture and/or Poultry preferred
Some college
Two years experience as a Field Representative
