Advanced Concepts and Technologies International, LLC. (ACT I), a fast growing high technology company, is actively seeking candidates to work on an advisory & assistance service (A&AS) contract that provides the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) and related space organizations aboard the Los Angeles Air Force Base with a broad range of acquisition, financial and administrative capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities.

We have positions available for Senior, Mid and Entry Level Budget Analysts.

RETIREMENT: We assist employees build a solid financial foundation through a retirement program and a large variety of investment choices with Hartford. All employees are eligible to participate after a one-year waiting period.

Our 3 components:
  • Profit-Sharing Plan: We may make discretionary yearly contributions. Funds are invested with Hartford on a 6 year vesting schedule and employees must work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year, and meet the waiting period requirements.
  • Safe Harbor: We offer employees a 3% contribution of their total compensation with no vesting schedule (Safe Harbor) after meeting the minimum hours worked and the waiting period requirements.
  • 401k: Employees are eligible to become a participant and make pre-tax or post-tax deferrals in the plan, on 1 Jan, 1 Apr, 1 July, or 1 Oct after the required minimum hours worked are verified. The employee salary deferrals cannot exceed the maximum annual IRS limit - $17,500 in 2013.

LIFE and DISABILITY: Through UNUM all regular, full-time employees are eligible after completing 90 days of continuous employment, unless otherwise noted. Premiums are paid by the employer.

Life and AD&D: $50,000 policy for employees only

Disability Insurance:
• Short Term Disability: 14 days waiting period, 12 weeks of disability
• Long Term Disability: starts after 12 weeks of short term disability

MEDICAL: ACT I has retained United Health Care and Delta Dental to provide group coverage for all regular, full-time employees. They are eligible on the first of the month after completing 90 days of continuous employment, unless otherwise noted.

Health Care (PPO): Employer pays employee premiums. Family coverage is available at group rates.

Dental Care: Employer pays employee premiums. Family coverage is available at group rates.

Flexible Spending Account: Pre-tax medical reimbursement (health, dental and vision expenses) up to $5,000 per year.
Dependent Care: Reimbursement for child care expenses and adoption expenses.
Health Reimbursement Account: Reimbursement for health and dental premiums for employees who are eligible but not enrolled in the ACT I health and dental plans. Maximum reimbursement limit applies.

LEAVE: Eligible upon hiring and accrues immediately. Employees may carryover up to 80 hours into the next calendar year.
Holidays: 10 major holidays

Comprehensive Leave:
• 12 days of comprehensive leave (to be used as vacation, sick or personal days)
• Increases to 14 days after 3 years of service
• 17 days after 7 years of service
• 20 days after 12 years of service
Bereavement Leave: 3 days for immediate family members

To further professional development, we offer educational benefits in the form of academic and technical support for job related educational activities.

Tuition Assistance: Reimbursement for tuition and registration fees. Courses must be job related courses. Service obligation and management approval required.

Training/Certification: Reimbursement for courses and material. Fees paid for up to two times per test or certification. Courses must be specific to current career field. Service obligation and management approval required.

Pay for Performance: ACT I normally plans an annual performance review. Based on meeting and/or excelling preset objectives for company and division goals, ACT I awards employees a merit bonus for outstanding performance in service of its customers.


Candidates with experience in Department of Defense or military related cost, earned value, schedule analysis or budget activities.

Prefer experience in DoDI 5000 acquisition, cost, earned value and schedule management.

Candidates must also have excellent EXCEL skills and statistics background, with exposure to improvement (learning) theory applications.

DAWAI certification level in acquisition or project management highly desirable.

Prefer industrial engineer, manufacturing engineer or financial graduate with experience in Military/Defense cost engineering or manufacturing estimating.

Must have proven record as a team member and be capable of leading a small team.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
