DoITT provides for the sustained, efficient and effective delivery of IT services, infrastructure and telecommunications to enhance service delivery to New York City's residents, businesses, employees and visitors. As the City's technology leader, DoITT is responsible for maintaining the foundational IT infrastructure and systems that touch every aspect of City life—from public safety to human services, from education to economic development—crossing the full spectrum of governmental operations.
The successful candidate will serve as a Budget Analyst reporting to the Financial Management and Administration division. Responsibilities will include: Assist in the monitoring and analysis of expenditures associated with the Personal Services (PS) and Other Than Personal Services (OTPS) budgets; provide technical budget support; track agency revenue budget, maintain accurate tracking logs of all franchise expenditure activities; assist in the preparation of various monthly reports to maintain proper accounting of current year expenditures; prepare budget modifications; assist in the maintenance of agency OTPS purchase requisition tracking log; encumber funds into contracts; prepare monthly headcount, variance and payroll reports; conduct surplus/needs analysis and assist in the preparation of Financial Plans, deposit and reconcile Revenue for international programming, miscellaneous and telecommunication reimbursements; put together claim packages for submission to grantors for reimbursement; interact with OMB, FISA, other city agencies, other DOITT Units and Vendors; and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qual Requirements
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
The successful candidate should possess the following: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent analytic, organization, presentation and facilitation skills; and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
