Provide financial, personnel, and administrative support to chairs, directors, department support staff and Dean’s Office Staff. Maintain the College financial system, commitment system, personnel database, and assist with the annual merit/salary increase process. Process temporary budget entries in the BCS system. Reconcile and monitor financial status of college funds on a monthly basis including state, revolving, and foundation accounts. Provide financial reports as needed. Assist in preparation of chair, director, dean, professorship PAFs. Represent interests in college and university committees and task forces.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or closely related field plus 2 years experience in any combination of personnel, payroll or budget required; equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to prepare and process necessary reports, forms, and paperwork in a timely manner and within established guidelines essential. Ability to interact with a group of diverse people through written and verbal communication necessary. Must possess a high level of data entry accuracy and ability to proofread required. Knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet, email and internet software essential.
Experience with large integrated financial management systems (i.e. SAP ) preferred. Experience in an academic setting helpful. Effective problem solving skills desirable. Strong spreadsheet and database experience helpful.
