Models a service and solutions oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
Maintain good attendance record
Drives residents to and from various locations to include doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, etc
Drives residents for special outings set up by Life Enrichment Department.
Secures residents in buses. Helps to secure their seat belts.
Secures residents in wheel chairs to the bus and also ensures they are appropriately secured in their wheel chair.
Details busses to maintain their appearance.
Checks busses for flat tires, oil change, gas, etc.
Must maintain a professional appearance and a professional manner at all times.
Must be able/willing to work in Engineering Department if no driving work is available
Responds to resident’s homes in case of an emergency call.
Assists with other duties as assigned.
Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, handicapped people and hospice Patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements as outlined below
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
Must have CDL Driver’s license with passenger endorsement issued by the State of Texas.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Work requires command of the English language.
Must be safety conscience at all times.
CDL License and excellent driving record required; No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
