Job description for the Education Administrative Services Manager is as follows...
Responsible for providing direct service in accordance with the department education programming as necessary
Responsible for coordinating educational programming with staff, insuring that range of needed services is provided appropriately.
Responsible for range of programming including but not limited to elementary, secondary, special, gifted, alternative, and adult/continuing education activities.
Responsible for collaboration with others in assisting with the creation and implementation of the department guidelines and policies.
In collaboration with CFO develop a Business Plan and department budget.
Responsible for overseeing the operation of a safe and healthy classroom environment.
This includes, but is not limited to, planning and carrying out emergency/evacuation drills, inspecting and replacing damaged or lost materials, and updating student records.
Acts as a liaison between Students/Parents/Families and area educational resources in support of student education needs;
Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships within the community.
Responsible for attending meetings with parents on behalf of students as appropriate and directed.
Responsible for meeting with Parents/Families on behalf of students accessing department services;
Responsible for providing referral information to additional community resources as appropriate and/or directed.
Supervise and evaluate, Specialist and Classroom teachers.
Responsible for overseeing the documentation of student activity within established protocols; maintain education programming records as needed and directed.
Responsible for overseeing basic educational assessments to determine student needs. This includes, but is not limited to research-based early literacy programming.
Responsible for referring students/families to outside testing as needed and/or directed.
Conduct and/or participate in staff training and professional development opportunities as directed.
May handle food items and perform simple food preparation.
The following qualifications are required for the Education Administrative Services position
Bachelors Degree in education, business administration or liberal arts preferred
Minimum 5 years experience as a school administrator or teacher including experience in curriculum design, resource scheduling, budgeting, and education facilitation;
Or combination of education and experience.
Experience in working with Native American populations preferred.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required, including comfort with and proficiency in public speaking.
Possess a Riverside County Department of Environmental Health Food Handlers Certificate or equivalent
