Business Analysts support large, mission-critical homeland security programs in meeting their mission objectives and program goals. Responsibilities may include:

Collaborate with homeland security stakeholders to perform detailed business analysis on current and proposed technology solutions related to mission critical systems and applications

Develop strong understanding of mission goals, business processes, and functional and system requirements

Reengineer processes and enable them through technology

Integrate solutions into homeland security environment

Work with subject matter in both technical and business process areas, and balance strategic thinking with understanding the specific project details

Communicate with multiple stakeholder groups and convey complex concepts in an understandable way

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of consulting or information technology experience (salary commensurate with experience)

Sound project management skills and experience

Experience with the techniques used to gather and document business and system requirements

Experience with a requirements tracking tool, e.g. Rational Requisite Pro or DOORS

Knowledge of the software development life-cycle and Web-based applications

Ability to thoroughly analyze requirements

Experience with industry standard software development lifecycles and proven implementation methodologies spanning both business process, organizational, and technology domains

Stakeholder management, including meeting/work session facilitation and coordinating efforts of multiple stakeholders

Skilled in both oral and written communication with ability to tailor to different audiences (e.g., leadership, technical, business)

Experience leading and completing deliverables

Strong interest in homeland security programs

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Instant Messaging

Advanced MS Visio experience

Bachelor' Degree (minimum level required)

US Citizenship required / ability to get a security clearance

Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience consulting and/or systems integration

Experience in large government transformation / information technology programs

Training and/or certifications in business process design, information technology requirements analysis, and/or systems engineering

PMP certification

Active security clearance
