This position is responsible for a full range of activities related to the development of innovative PointofSale (POS) systems Functional expert and will serve as the dedicated business analyst for a scrum team and will report directly to the Product Owner Elicit requirements via multiple methods including but not limited to direct interviews document analysis requirements workshops site visits business process descriptions and prior experience Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources understanding what is truly needed in terms of solving real market problems (and not just responding to what is requested) Decompose highlevel requirements into lowlevel actionable units of work Conversely abstract up from lowlevel processes to a generalized business understanding Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and convert them to user stories (along with supporting documentation as needed) Successfully contribute to multiple projects simultaneously Collaborate with broad spectrum of individuals (from Clevels to individual contributors) to establish and preserve the business and technical vision Negotiate tradeoffs in scope cost and delivery dates Work on a daily basis with senior level ProgrammerAnalysts and QA Analysts to refine requirements anticipate issues and respond with agility to scope changes Provide timely clarification of business and processing logic Responsible for taking ownership of multiple user stories and seeing them to successful completion (per “Done” criteria) Drive the resolution of requirementdesign issues by coordinating and facilitating work sessions between contributors from different disciplines and with of varying levels of experience and expertise Serve as a liaison between strategic business units business partners and IT Work with Product Owner Product Visionary and other stakeholders to refine requirements for new features uptoandincluding authoring project charters for major new initiatives Influence the direction of new projects so they are in concert with the strategic direction as defined by the Enterprise Architecture organization Ensure (through review and verification) that sprint deliverables meet the acceptance criteria including timeliness and quality Advise the Product Owner in accepting work products Assist Product Owner in managing release dates and release plans and product roadmaps Analyze and consult on select production support issues (as escalated by Operations team) Understanding of integrated POS functional flows and associated business concepts Agile software development and Scrum Strong analytical and product management skills required including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into actionable application and operational requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and fluently with a diverse group of contributors including executives managers and subject matter experts Must have the outstanding softpeople skills Need to effectively direct development staff as well as give and receive feedback Must be comfortable working in an open collaborative work space pos
