This role is primarily responsible for supporting the development and evolution of merchant facing policies for the Merchant Dispute Processing project for the transition of the U.S market to the Global Network Services Chargeback and Dispute Policy, scheduled for implementation in 2013. The successful candidate will work with colleagues across the company- (Global Network Business, Risk, Compliance, Technologies, Operations, Marketing, the General Counsel's Office, and Merchant Acquisition) to support creation and delivery of the merchant-facing policy for this key business initiative.
Responsibilities will include:
Drafting policy and aligning with key stakeholders across all lines of business
Coordinating/ facilitating business meetings related to policy development and supporting the project manager on required action items.
Preparing publication of the Global Merchant Regulations.
Executing a communication strategy to educate merchants and internal business partners on the new policies
Serving as an internal consultant/subject matter expert in the policy area for the overall Merchant Dispute Processing project
Required Qualifications:
Strong relationship skills and ability to influence across multiple business units
Demonstrated excellent written communication skills with an ability to write clear and concise documents
Demonstrated strong verbal communication skills with an ability to confidently represent, explain and illustrate what a policy means to both merchants and internal policy and process owners.
Knowledge of merchant processing and credit card networks an asset
Strong technical writing skills desired
Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively
Ability to demonstrate flexibility in accepting new work as assigned
Ability to work under minimal supervision
