The Business Analyst is responsible for documenting product’s vision and scope; identifying project stakeholders and user classes; gathering all project requirements; writing requirement specifications according to standard templates; decomposing high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements; representing requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate; leading requirements analysis and verification; providing accurate project task time estimates; managing requirement traceability information and tracking requirement status throughout the project; managing changes to requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.

NRT LLC, located in Parsippany, NJ, seeks a Sr. Business Analyst to work on a contract basis.

The Business Analyst is responsible for documenting product’s vision and scope; identifying project stakeholders and user classes; gathering all project requirements; writing requirement specifications according to standard templates; decomposing high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements; representing requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate; leading requirements analysis and verification; providing accurate project task time estimates; managing requirement traceability information and tracking requirement status throughout the project; managing changes to requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus or demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • Minimum five (5) years IT experience working as Business Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst or similar
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience using SQL to query data for analysis and testing
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working with development teams creating company specific software applications
Other Qualifications
  • Proven ability to research, analyze and resolve problems
  • An understanding of contemporary requirement gathering, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them
  • An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering by utilizing standard software development life cycle techniques in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the following tools: Access, Excel, Word, Visio, Photoshop
  • Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong listening skills, analytical skills and facilitation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of real estate operations desired
  • Must be able to travel
