Suddenlink's Management Reporting group provides reporting and business analytics around all aspects of the company’s performance. Whether it is creating a visualization story to explore call center data or providing a standardized report detailing the monthly subscriber performance, the management reporting group is responsible for getting actionable, drill able and easy to use reporting into the hands of our key business partners. The Management Reporting group is looking to hire an analyst to help meet the expanding opportunities available in this function.
The Management Reporting Analyst prepares and communicates key operational business information to senior management and other internal customers. This analyst will identify requirements, design solutions and deploy reporting to end users. In addition, this role provides support for recurring and ad hoc reporting. The ideal candidate will possess intellectual curiosity and create insights that drive business growth. The position reports to the Manager of Management Reporting.
•Develop and automate standard reporting, analysis, and tools to support corporate, functional or regional management teams
•Collect user requirements for reporting and identify best practices to drive enterprise efficiency
•Leverage Business Objects analytical toolset to provide insights into various data marts (e.g. marketing, sales, call center and technical operations) through drillable, actionable recurring and ad hoc reporting
•Create data visualizations to illustrate drivers, trends and anomalies in key operational metrics for all levels of the organization
•Lead data standardization and governance across multiple source systems and functional data marts
•Define and document data process flow and data definitions
•Partner with other departments to ensure adherence to data governance program
•Monitor controls to ensure timely completion
•Drive business user adoption by providing excellent customer service to corporate and regional analysts
•Provide individual training on Business Objects tools and reports
•Obtain and share knowledge of key data definitions with users to ensure appropriate interpretation of the metrics and analysis
•Proactively work with users to ensure reports are meeting business needs
•Support other ad-hoc requests and future projects as needed
•Prepare initial data analysis on ad hoc inquiries with anticipation of follow-up questions
•Ability to gather, interpret and apply critical thinking and analysis to data in support of decisions
•Self-starter with ability to work independently and quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
•Highly organized with ability to understand and document detailed process flows
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills
•Good interpersonal skills suitable for interacting with various departments and all levels of management
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
•Cable or Telecommunications industry experience preferred
•Experience with Business Objects or other business intelligence applications preferred
•Knowledge of SQL or other query language in a relational databases environment a plus
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, with two to five years of relevant experience
