Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the CFO, this person will play an important role in planning and monitoring the financial performance of HPN and the related businesses that it establishes and manages.

Responsibilities:

HPN Budgeting:
·Coordinate the budget process for HPN and its subsidiaries; the Business Analyst works with CFO, VP Finance and Exec Team to update the process, tools and timeframe and coordinate the process
·Provide technical support to program managers
·Use prior year's financial data and other means to review the quality of the business unit budgets
·Integrate the business unit information into consolidated financial projections for HPN
·Lead work with consulting programmer to improve budget templates and integration over time
·Develop and maintain (working with consultants as needed) rolling multi-year projections
Affiliated Entities' Financial Projections:
·Work with the CFO to develop standard formats for multi-year financial projections for HPN's related entities
·Working closely with business line leaders, customize the projections for the entities and update as needed to reflect actual performance and changes in assumptions and plans
Financial Performance Analysis:
·Analyze budget-to-actual performance and trends and provide data for assessment of capital needs
·Work with business unit managers to understand the financial performance of their cost centers and related entities
·Develop meaningful aggregate information for presentation to managers, committees and boards
Requirements:
·
5 years of experience doing financial projections for complex organizations
·Experience coordinating budget processes
·Excellent analytic skills
·High-level Excel skills
·Comprehensive understanding of income statements, balance sheets and cash flow
·Strong communication skills
·Innovative and able to work independently
·Customer service-oriented; must enjoy working with people in different roles in the organizationa
