This GBICC Business Applications Analyst and Developer position serves as an expert resource to analyze, define, develop, maintain, and monitor the application environment(s) to support GBICC application(s). This position will be responsible for providing technical expertise in understanding business specifications and design application solutions to meet those business requirements. This position will work closely with the vendor partner technical resources to design, develop, test and support programs, database queries, reports and web interfaces for GBICC data integration and business analytics application(s). Position will develop and support data queries to assist with data analysis, verify data extract, transformation, and load job streams, develop business analysis reports and perform unit, system and quality assurance testing to ensure accuracy and completeness of the application. The position also serves as an expert resource for user administration and authentication components design, development and support. The position will collaborate with project team and business users to identify data and technical requirements, and ensure requirements are designed and supported by the application. Perform related activities as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:

Strong working knowledge of programming techniques, database queries, stored procedures and report writing is critical. Strong working knowledge of ETL, user authentication and web based user interfaces required. Experience with production job streams and scheduling tools preferred. Knowledge of SAS data integration and business analytic tools and/or Oracle a plus. Ability to research, learn, develop and manage new programming languages and techniques. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form, a positive, professional, customer service-oriented approach, ability to consult with senior-level decision makers as well as technical resources to resolve problems. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming and three years of experience in business applications consulting or development. Experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
A criminal background check is a requirement for employment.
