The Information Technology Business Architect will lead IT business process and requirement definition across all functions related to Credit and Collections capability for Bluestem Brands. This position will be responsible for project vision and scope, business requirements, functional specification development, coordinating quality assurance and final project implementation. This position will report to the IT Director for Credit and Collections.
The Business Architect is responsible for the logical design of the solution, managing the functional specification, guarding the architectural integrity and managing critical trade-offs. Owning the logical design, the solution architect provides the vital link between the business side of the solution and the technology side. Acting as a custodian of the functional specification, the solution architect drives the team to achieve consensus about the concept and design of the solution between all roles, and justifies the agreed approach to the project board. He/she is also responsible for ensuring traceability of features back to requirements and scenarios, so that all features can be seen to provide business value, and the impact of any feature changes can be assessed.

Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, business process management or related field
Minimum 10 to 15 years professional experience, including 8 + years of business analyst experience
Technical and business experience in credit and retail industries is a plus.
Experience with the following type of tools is a plus: Credit Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Customer Service Systems.
Experience in First Data or similar Credit Accounts Receivable system a plus
