In this position, the Dollar Bank Business Banking Officer has a degree of independent authority to employ the Banks' assets, using direction and judgment to administer commercial liabilities, to implement policies and procedures and have a major impact on Bank profitability. The Business Banking Officer interacts and works with individuals in the Retail Banking Centers, Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Treasury Management, and the Credit Department. The Business Banking Officer must understand and be able to offer all products and services of the Bank with special emphasis on business loan and deposit products. This individual is expected to provide a high level of service to existing customers and perform business prospecting activities.

Job Function/Purpose:
  • Service existing business loan and deposit customers
  • Develop new business customer relationships within a defined market area
  • Provide business support to the retail banking centers assigned
  • Perform credit analysis and loan proposal details for Bank approval consideration
  • Handle service and problem resolution needs of assigned customers
Principal Activities/Objectives:
  • Establish an annual business development plan and goals with the objective of fostering Bank growth through mutually beneficial account relationships
  • Develop and maintain business relationships through a sales oriented calling program
  • Complete call reports on all business visits, outlining the purpose of the call, business needs, financial information, and future focus for the business
  • Participate in community and civic functions, either in an advisory or active capacity, representing Dollar Bank, with emphasis on maintaining and developing business relationships
  • Manage and/or participate in any special assignments as requested by the Vice President of Business Banking
Skills & Experience:
  • Ability to prioritize; work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle several different tasks at one time
  • Will generally have a minimum of two to four years of experience n working with business owners in developing solutions to their financial service needs
  • Knowledge of all business credit deposit products and services
  • Knowledge of national and regional government assisted loan programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated abilities and desire to provide high quality customer service
  • Demonstrated skills in performing and understanding financial ratios, collateral coverage, and cash flow analysis for business borrowers
  • Demonstrated sales and business development skills and achievements
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle for business development opportunities
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel
