Provides vision and direction to business continuity programs, and demonstrates the value of these programs with external and internal customers and stakeholders.

Develops, implements, and maintains the corporate crisis management process.
Manages the business continuity software system development life¿cycle, including the planning, design, and implementation of company-wide business recovery and continuity efforts.
Manages processes relating to the business continuity planning system, crisis management, and emergency recovery and relocation.
Performs in-depth risk and business impact analyses. Assesses the business continuity implications of industry related vulnerabilities and threats, and coordinates revisions to existing business continuity plans, strategic vision and procedures necessitated by these concerns.
Serves as a business continuity subject matter expert for the Crisis Management Team and provides input during emergency situations; may serve as a member as required. Acts as a coordinator in the implementation of responses and alternate operating strategies during emergency situations. Ensures emergency operations centers are adequately prepared and functioning as required.
Develops, implements, and monitors the results of corporate drills, routine simulation exercises, and tests of the business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Ensures tests and exercises are executed at least annually, or as significant changes are made to any critical component of the business continuity plan. Documents results and tracks follow-up action items.
Provides a high level of consulting services on corporate business continuity topics to business unit clients with complex recovery requirements.
Develops and prepares system documentation manuals, training manuals, and procedures related to the business continuity planning system, crisis management, and relocation processes.
Actively engages in external emergency management organizations serving our industry. Functions as the primary contact if the Company requires secure large scale restoration services.
Develops and maintains communication channels with all levels of management and external agencies related to business continuity. Serves as a liaison for Company business units to ensure emergency response and business continuity processes are aligned and integrated.

Education and/or experience equivalent to a four year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in business administration or engineering preferred.
A minimum of seven years technical and/or professional experience in business recovery methodologies, techniques, risk assessment, crisis management, or business continuity. Previous experience in utility industry operations or related work.
Working knowledge of utility industry operating practices, work methods, equipment, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance preferred.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
Must possess a valid driver¿s license.
