Development Analyst – Regional

Houston,
TX

The Business Development Analyst (BDA) will work with sales
(CM/ CDM) to serve Strategic Accounts in respective region (Asia/ EMEA/
Americas) ensuring collaboration and alignment with BDA counterparts.

Responsibilities:

Drafting client proposals and contracts


Price modeling for client proposals


Providing in-depth research and analysis of
targeted businesses and markets as input into sales strategy


Monitoring the plans


Running Sales Analysis such as whitespace
analysis (Gap Analysis), producing benchmarking and DRM reports, risks analysis


Sourcing and analyzing customer intelligence
from Cap IQ, D&B, etc.


Profiling accounts showing all affiliations,
geographic presence and business interest against current Platts services


Tracking market and customer developments &
trends, quarterly client results and press releases


To ensure relevant financials are captured for
reporting and team alignment, full collaboration with broader analyst team on: Sales forecasts, Risk Pipeline &
cancellation tracking and tracking against marketing dashboard


Sales Activity from Siebel including client
calls, visits, new contacts, pipeline etc.


Back up to other regional BDAs and central BDA


Participate in/ champion sales & marketing
projects as nominated

Qualifications

Requirements:

3+ years of experience working in analytical
role


Experience working in a sales environment tasked
with aggressive goals


Working knowledge of client databases such as
D&B


Advanced Excel Skills


Previous experience of working in an analytical
role dealing with different datasets


Previous experience of working in a busy sales
environment towards demanding goals


Attention to detail and an analytical mindset


Advanced Excel skills essential


Working knowledge of client databases such as
D&B and Siebel


Knowledge of Oracle


Understanding of energy and commodity businesses
an advantage
