The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for lead generation and coordination of opportunities between internal and external sales teams to achieve company objectives and strategic goals.

Core Responsibilities Lead Generation
  • Continually research and identify new lead generation resources and updates to refine existing resources’ search engines
  • Search for opportunities utilizing subscribed to resources, internet search engines, registration with organizational bid lists. i.e. Onvia, Google Alerts, bid lists, etc.
  • Maintain and Update Bid Resources Registration Sheet
  • Follow up on identified Leads for further qualification working with internal and external customers
  • Assist internal and external sales teams to ensure opportunities are entered into CRM and forwarded through the sales processes
Opportunity Data Development and Maintena nce
  • Compile and maintain lead/opportunity documentation and files
  • Update and maintain opportunity pipeline in CRM on a daily/weekly basis
  • Consistently verify CRM data to ensure data integrity
  • Ensure all Marketing campaign Leads are entered into CRM
    • Assist with status updates and tracking on go to market initiatives
  • Continually maintain and update/renew lead resource registrations and subscriptions
Follow-Up and Reporting
  • Liaison to internal and external sales team to ensure smooth transition and compliance to sales process flows and tracking of all sales opportunities
  • Communicate with internal and external customers regarding lead opportunity status
  • Update opportunities in the CRM database through all Sales Stages to include outcome tabulations
  • Assist with updates and submission of weekly and ad hoc reports as needed
  • Coordinate efforts for the preparation of bid request documents or submissions as needed
  • Assist with contract document review and execution as needed

Requirements Essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under deadline pressures
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with success
  • Ability to process information from multiple sources and create innovative solutions and strategies
  • Willingness to get actively involved in day-to-day actions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strong customer services skills is required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a particular attention to details
  • Ability to work in a team environment across internal and external departments and offices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – must have an Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel (must know pivot tables)
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • CNG and Natural Gas experience a plus
  • Contract experience a plus
