is currently seeking a
Senior Proposal Manager
. The AQCS Proposal Manager position has ultimate responsibility for, and authority over, the proposal effort and the content of the final document for
Thermal Services AQCS in Knoxville, TN
. This role is responsible for coordinating the ESO proposal activity among engineering, business development, cost estimating and procurement requests. Reports to the Manager of Capture and Tendering.
Major Responsibilities -
develop new business opportunities in North American Utility and Industrial markets,
securing orders (particularly focused on the power and electronics AQCS
applications) to support and achieve the business unit sales targets and
Lead and manage the proposal process,
in line with Directives and Work Instructions
appropriate order capture strategy for all business opportunities consistent
with internal Company policies.
relationships with prospective clients, including management and engineers, in
support of Technical Sales process
Interpret customer RFP’s in
developing win strategy for proposals
Develop estimates and assemble
proposal documentation for submittal to customers
Conduct Risk Reviews in line with the
AQCS Thermal Services Business Unit directives
Manage technical and commercial
direct technical and commercial negotiations in line
term Key Accounts Plans (KAP’s) for major domestic customers including forecast
to support target order winrate
Develop order capture plans
associated with rolling opportunity forecast
communication with internal resources; AQCS Services Environmental electronics
technology, AQCS Services Global Marketing and Business Development, Projects,
Engineering, Contract Administration, Risk Management, Sourcing, Construction
and Legal regarding opportunity forecast
knowledge of power electronics and control products, solutions, and
Communicate effectively internally and externally
Coordinates and conducts necessary proposal meetings and
risk, cost and price reviews
Provide input to AQCS Services Global initiatives
Maintain close working relationship
with the Area Sales organization and nes Service Sales group (SSMs) for
effective Market Channel.
B.S. in engineering
(electrical preferred), business or related field required.
Ten (10) years experience in the power industry with
five (5) years in the AQCS industry.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple
customer/stakeholder relationships through entire project life cycle
knowledge of power and electronics as applied to the environmental business
Domestic environmental market
Contract terms and conditions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc…)
Become familiar, complete the training
required and adhere to the Thermal Services GEMS program including EHS
Primarily office work
environment, moderate to heavy travel.
