What’s the gig?
We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our Sales and Marketing Department. In this role you will be responsible for managing integrated sales and business development plans and activities for the Utah, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming territory (UMIA territory). The position serves as a vital link in aligning sales and business development strategy with executing throughout the business region. The incumbent must have the reputation for creating and executing innovative ideas aimed at building strong customer and channel relationships, motivating regional account executives, and the expertise and track record to dramatically increase premium volume across all market segments. Consistently successful in analyzing market trends and capitalizing on opportunities in the medical professional liability marketplace. Identifies potential business partners and manages current business partners. Works with the communications team to develop marketing programs and materials such as advertising, event support and online promotions. Builds and fosters strong customer relationships. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish organizational as well as individual goals.
What creds do I need?
Bachelors Degree required, MBA preferred. Must be able to obtain property/casualty and life/health insurance license. Insurance sales and marketing experience preferred. Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills. Able to clearly communicate vision and model the culture. Driver of results, change agent. Able to create and develop strategic products and services that proactively address customer needs. Exceptional negotiation skills.
Model stewardship in the communities we serve. A positive, can-do attitude and ownership spirit with ability to have fun, while all the time meeting the needs of the business are necessary traits for this individual to be successful in this role.
