North America-United States-California-San Diego - Home Based
Secure and retain business for PPD through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. Position PPD as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced. Act as a liaison between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements.
Position is home-office based. Will consider candidates based in Colorado and all points west of it.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in science or business
Experience in CRO, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device sales or 3-5 years related experience in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry
Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven track record at mid and high level contacts, as well as formal sales training.
Scientific, sales and/or marketing background with concentration in pharmaceutical/biotech area
Ability to manage and fully integrate with Operations, Finance, C&PD, and Marketing to follow-up, expand relationships and business opportunities.
Identify and develop sales leads, professionally present capabilities, manage the sales process through close and handle all aspects of contract negotiations.
Handle sales automation systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and email
