Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Develop business plans for partnerships including goals, timing, revenue & profit projections, business requirements and risk projections.

Build and manage relationships as well as serve as primary day-to-day liaison with Rocket Fuel’s existing brand, technology, & data partners. Drive strategic initiatives forward with partners.

Support Solutions Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Sales departments with details about partner products and services.

Review, draft, and negotiate business terms and contracts with partners. Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and subsequently integrating contract requirements with business operations. Work with legal counsel to finalize contracts.

Stay abreast of industry standards, identify trend-setter ideas, strategize and source new partners that are aligned with our vision and provide Rocket Fuel with competitive advantage.

Define and build processes for Business Development activities and initiatives.

Must possess dynamic interpersonal skills required to interact across all levels within and outside the company--Excellent presentation and written communications skills are a must have.

Demonstrated ability to think creatively, and identify and quantify new opportunities.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills with extremely strong attention to detail.

Eagerness to work in a start-up team environment that will be rapidly changing--willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. SQL knowledge is a plus.

Strong basic business acumen with natural instinct to quantify challenges and suggest alternative actions.

Proven process, program management, and analytical skills with an ability to understand complex business situations.


BS or BA required; advanced degree desirable.

2+ years of relevant digital experience with 5 years overall business experience
