As a Business Development Manager, you will manage many of Rocket Fuel's new and existing partnerships, spanning data, measurement, technology, and more. You will work closely with Rocket Fuel’s product, sales, and customer success organizations to ensure that partner and internal needs are met. In this role, you should be action oriented and organized, well versed in a broad range of technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Rocket Fuel.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Maintain direct and active relationships with Rocket Fuel's partners, with a focus on leveraging and expanding the impact of these partnerships, proactively resolving business issues, and serving as an internal advocate
Negotiate favorable business terms and coordinate with legal counsel to finalize contracts
Involvement in developing the partnership engagement and prioritization framework
Ensure organizational understanding and operational stability of partner capabilities through regular communication with internal stakeholders
Lead projects focused on the strategic growth of the partnership program
Assist with developing business cases to analyze deals, partners, and channels, including customer value, incremental revenue, and resource requirements.
Work with product, design and engineering teams to evaluate and explore partnership opportunities.
Manage day-day communications with partners based on Rocket Fuel's business and product priorities and proactively uncover new opportunities with partners to drive innovation and revenue
Skills & Attributes
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (MBA preferred)
3-5 years of experience in Business Development, Partner Management or similar role in digital media industry with a strong familiarity of the online advertising value chain
Exceptional written and verbal skills with meticulous attention to detail
Proven ability to participate in and influence cross-functional teams
Strong track record in partner relations and account management, assessing and maintaining partnerships and business relationships
Superior Powerpoint, and Excel skills are essential
Ability to manage a high volume workload by prioritization and practical problem solving
Experience in developing effective communication channels with internal cross-functional groups including Customer Success, Sales, and Product.
