The Regional Business Development Representative (RBDR) is responsible for pre-sales qualification to generate new customers in Enterprise & Government Market, including Fortune 1000 companies, schools, universities, hospitals and government facilities in their respective regional territory.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Uncovering new business development opportunities and effectively working with managers and the sales force that would be executing on these highly qualified opportunities. The RBDR will be expected to use effective phone skills to call managers and directors in IT, Facilities, Telecom and Security to uncover the following types of projects:
Facility moves/re-locations/expansions/new construction
Network upgrades/re-cabling projects
Sound & paging projects
Analog & IP video surveillance projects
Key Information to uncover includes:
Current & future infrastructure specs
Size, scope and time frame of project
Performs other duties as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Effective skills in phone-based marketing
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Superior oral and written communication skills
Background and knowledge of the voice/data or electrical industry preferred but not required
High volume outbound calling
Bachelor's degree preferred
