Manages and implements company's public relations strategies by preparing and delivering information about the company through a variety of media including newspapers, periodicals, television, radio and other forms of media. Prepares written materials and presentations for distribution both internally and externally to maintain a positive company image. Also responsible for building, maintaining, and updating company website. Additional responsibilities include providing and tracking patient travel when needed; developing and printing all business collateral materials for marketing purposes; researching and purchasing all Forest Park Medical Center logo items; and getting the company involved in charity functions in the community. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited university where employee received an undergraduate degree in Marketing. In lieu of education requirements, 2+ years of experience in the medical marketing field will suffice.Experience and Qualifications: Bachelors degree, Communications or related field preferred Minimum of 3 years prior experience in the medical/marketing field Outstanding communication skills a must; both verbal and written Comfortable with intense working environments and tight deadlines required A diplomatic, relationship builder with strong professional presence and demonstrated ability to influence others. Outstanding project management and organizational skills Ability to manage changing requirements and short timelines as well as multiple overlapping projects at one timeGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Making sales calls to physicians in Dallas and the outlying areas. Road warrior. This position requires extensive time driving from office to office and the ability to carry business collateral and/or lunches for staff. 2. Responsible for bringing referrals into Forest Park Medical Center from physicians who have no allegiance to our facility. This requires a great deal of "selling" and cold-calling in many cases. 3. Representation of Forest Park Medical Center externally on a day-to-day basis with members of the medical community in Dallas and the outlying areas. This requires a professional appearance, timely arrival at all appointments, and knowledgeable presentation of Forest Park Medical Center. 4. Responsible for all other duties relating to marketing the hospital with includes, but is not limited to, being present at dinners, seminars, conferences, tradeshows, etc. sometimes after normal business hours or on weekends.
